We at Scotfamtree have over the past 3yrs helped countless members in their search for their Scottish Ancestry.We do this for the enjoyment our hobby brings and the pleasure in helping others. Neither admin or Moderators are paid for their time,all monies gathered from subscriptions or items sold through our wee shop,go straight into our site funds and in-turn this helps pay for the sites,their maintenance and also allows us to purchase records on behalf of our members.We also raise some much needed cash by way of our TIER3 onsite.Moderators will travel to the records office and retrieve info on behalf of our members,for this the member is charged a small fee(£5).Initially ,this was to cover the mods expenses and anything left-over went into the site funds but our mods ,being of a certain type,refuse any such payments,so this cash,inturn,goes to help others onsite. This ,my friend,is not a begging bowl but a place for those members who feel they would like to contribute to scotfamtree ,to help us continue to expand our extensive Scottish Genealogical records and just as important,help maintain the Forum. yours sincerely, Jock Tamson
